Professional 100 W UV LED lamp (96 diodes at 395 nm) for screen printing, cyanotype and other photomechanical processes. It produces an intense, even UV light for fast and accurate exposure of emulsions and other photosensitive materials. Compact size (25 × 13 cm) and 220 V power supply. Ideal for workshops, schools and artists looking for an efficient, durable and affordable solution.
This 100 W UV LED lamp concentrates its emission at 395 nm, a wavelength ideal for emulsions and photomechanical processes. It can be used to expose screen printing frames, create cyanotypes, cure photopolymer plates or reveal plates for letterpress and offset. Its compact design and low energy consumption make it perfect for home use, workshops and graphic studios.
Technical Features of the UV LED Lamp
Power: 100 W (96 LEDs)
UV wavelength: 395 nm (optimal range for emulsions and photopolymer)
Voltage: 220 V
Size: 25 × 13 cm
Aluminium body with integrated heat sink
Long life span and low power consumption
Stable emission without flicker
Lightweight, easy to mount on a stand or arm
Applications and Recommended Uses
Screen printing: exposure of UV-sensitive emulsions on mesh.
Cyanotype and alternative photography: exposing images on paper or fabric.
Photopolymer: exposing plates for stamps or letterpress.
Offset and photomechanical processes: exposing UV-sensitive plates and positives.
Technical tip: exposure time depends on distance, emulsion type and film opacity. For example, with Murakami Aquasol emulsion (2+1 on 43T mesh) at around 25 cm distance, the average exposure time is between 20 and 40 seconds.
Advantages over Other Light Sources
Instant start and low energy consumption.
Longer life than halogen or fluorescent tubes.
Does not generate excessive direct heat on the surface.
Consistent and precise results.
Compatible with most modern emulsions.
Safety and Handling
Do not look directly at the UV light.
Avoid prolonged exposure without eye protection.
Allow the unit to cool down before handling after continuous use.
FAQs about the UV LED Lamp
Can I use it with any emulsion?
Yes. It is especially effective with emulsions sensitive to 395–405 nm. All our emulsions can be used with this UV lamp, but SBQ photopolymer types such as Murakami Aquasol or Rittagraf Unisol expose much faster than diazo emulsions like Kopimask FX, Ulano 925 or Murakami 9500.
Is it suitable for making photopolymer stamps?
Yes, it works very well with photopolymer plates for both stamps and letterpress. It can also be used for photogravure, but in that case a good vacuum contact is essential for best results.
Can I use it for cyanotype?
Yes, its UV output is excellent for cyanotypes with strong contrast.
What is the ideal exposure distance?
Between 20 and 30 cm, depending on the emulsion and film opacity. Test strips are recommended. Greater distance increases coverage but reduces intensity; for screens larger than about 40 × 50 cm, using more than one lamp can be advisable.
How can I mount this UV LED lamp?
We offer an adjustable flexo arm that holds the lamp and allows you to position the light as needed. The arm can be purchased separately or as part of a kit that includes both the lamp and the flexo.
